摘要:
紫薇Lagerstroemia indica 是重要的夏季观花、冬季观干景观植物,具有丰富多样的生长习性和园林应用形 式。虽然中国是紫薇的起源中心,但美国紫薇品种不断推陈出新,观赏特性优异且商品化程度较高。本文对美国 94 个紫薇专利品种的选育方式、株高、花色、花期、叶色和耐寒性等特性进行了介绍,分析美国、中国紫薇品种 现状和育种技术,提出中国紫薇育种需加快现有品种认定和评价、实现全球紫薇资源互补、加强现代生物技术与 传统育种相结合等,以更快创制出性状优异、商业价值高的紫薇新品种。
Abstract:
Lagerstroemia indica is an important ornamental plant with blooming in summer, magnificent bark in winter and different landscape use. It is native to China, but more cultivars were bred in the US. Presentations were made on 94 patented cultivars of Lagerstroemia in the US, in terms of origination, tree-type, petal color, blooming period, leaf color and cold hardiness. Analysis on current situation of cultivars and propagation techniques both in the US and China, advices were put forwarded such as investigation and identification, as well as strengthening modern biotechnique with traditional breeding for selection of new cultivars with better traits and higher commercial value.
